Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy governs conduct on AdFence, the ad account security monitoring service operated by Threasury Media LLC. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions, and the definitions used there apply here.

1. Scope

This policy applies to everyone who uses the Service — account owners, team members, and anyone acting on their behalf. If you invite others into your account, you are responsible for making sure they use the Service in line with this policy.

2. Authorised and Lawful Use

Use the Service for its purpose: monitoring the security of advertising accounts you are entitled to monitor. In particular, you must:

• connect only advertising accounts you own or are authorised to monitor, and disconnect them when that authorisation ends;
• use the Service in compliance with the laws that apply to you; and
• keep the permissions you rely on current, including any permission you hold from a client or employer.

3. Advertising Platform Rules

AdFence reads data from advertising platforms under the authorisation you grant. You must comply with the terms and policies of the advertising platforms you connect, and you must not use AdFence to do anything those platforms prohibit, to work around a platform restriction placed on you, or to retain access to platform data after a platform or account holder has withdrawn it.

4. Accounts and Credentials

You must not:

• share, sell or transfer your credentials, your account, or your access to another person outside the team features the Service provides;
• use someone else's credentials, or credentials obtained without their permission;
• access any account, workspace or data you are not authorised to access, whether by guessing identifiers, exploiting a fault, or any other means; or
• create accounts by automated means or misrepresent who you are or who you act for.

5. Security Abuse

You must not:

• probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service or its infrastructure without our prior written permission;
• attempt to breach, defeat or bypass authentication, access controls, rate limits or isolation between accounts; or
• upload or transmit malware, or use the Service to stage an attack on anyone else's systems.

6. Service Integrity

You must not interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service or the infrastructure it runs on. That includes automated traffic beyond ordinary use of the product, deliberately excessive requests, and any activity that degrades the Service for other users.

7. Unlawful or Harmful Activity

You must not use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive or harmful, to infringe anyone's rights, to harass or threaten, or to conceal or further activity of that kind — including using AdFence's monitoring to help conduct advertising fraud rather than to prevent it.

8. Misuse of Monitoring Data

Alerts, monitoring history and Evidence Packs can contain sensitive detail about accounts, spend and the people who work on them. Use that output only for the security and oversight purposes it was produced for. You must not use it to surveil individuals for unrelated reasons, to build or enrich datasets about third parties, or to disclose another organisation's account information to someone with no right to it.

9. Kill Switch Misuse

The Kill Switch can pause live campaigns, so it must never be pointed at accounts that are not yours to control. You must not enable or trigger the Kill Switch against an advertising account you are not authorised to control, use it to disrupt a competitor, a client or a former client, or use it to cause harm rather than to prevent it.

10. Circumvention

You must not copy, decompile, reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source code of the Service, work around its technical restrictions or plan limits, or resell or provide the Service to third parties outside the team and agency use the Service supports — except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.

11. Teams and Agencies

Agencies and teams are welcome on AdFence, and monitoring accounts on behalf of clients is an intended use. It requires the permission of the account holder for each account you connect, access granted only to the people who need it, and prompt removal of both when an engagement ends. Where a client withdraws permission, disconnect the account.

12. Reporting Abuse

Report suspected abuse of the Service to hello@adfence.io, including anything you believe indicates unauthorised access to your account or to another's. Tell us what you observed and when; please do not test a suspected weakness against live accounts or other users' data while you wait for a reply.

13. Enforcement

Where use breaches this policy, we take the action that is necessary and proportionate in the circumstances. That may mean asking you to correct the problem, restricting a feature, suspending an account or connection, or terminating access where the breach is serious, repeated, or unlawful.

Where circumstances allow, we will tell you what the problem is and give you an opportunity to put it right before we restrict access — though we may act first where there is a risk to other users, to the Service, or where the law requires it. Nothing here limits your mandatory rights under applicable law, and you may respond to any action we take by writing to us at the address below.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Service or applicable law changes. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page, and material changes will be communicated as described in the Terms and Conditions.
